Volunteer with Restore Native Plants by Helping Remove Invasive Plants Species!

Volunteers will have the opportunity to work in various natural areas throughout Ramapo Mountain State Forest and in West Milford, New Jersey. Volunteers will work alongside the state’s top experts who specialize in invasive plant removal. As a volunteer, you will be a vital part of restoring and securing the longevity of native plant communities.

Invasive Species Removal Volunteers

Removal volunteers will assist our invasive removal team in the park by hand pulling and cutting invasive plants that are threatening our native species. Volunteers learn on-the-job and anyone can participate.
Be prepared to work outside. We ask that volunteers wear long pants and shoes you would normally wear on a hike. Please bring your own lunch, snacks, and plenty of water to last throughout the day. We will provide work gloves and tools.
